Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Greetings in peace!
Since time immemorial, the only Free Methodist Church in Cebu was the small apartment located at P. Del Rosario Extension Cebu City. It had been the only place of worship for the church goers all over Cebu. Those who come from the north or the south of Cebu province had to travel excruciating miles all the way to the city just to be able to attend the church service. Over the years,despite the transportation hassle, the conviction of Free Methodist church members continued to reform a legion of wayward lives that soon enough, the church membership grew by leaps and bounds. This eventually became a problem because some of the members had to stand in the middle aisle and on the sides of the rows just to accomodate all the others inside the 100 square meter church. Not only that, the church also becomes so jammed that the ambience of the church becomes so inconducive to worship. Because of this, the thought of expanding the church through constructing another church building became an expedient idea. Aside from solving the spatial problem within the church, the church members would not need to pay for the rent of the church and some members would have the option to choose where to attend the church service convenient for them.
Through the concerted efforts of the Cebu Free Methodist members, a great sum of money was raised to purchase a lot of 353 sq. meters at Guadalupe, Cebu City. The problem would have been solved if after the lot has been purchased, the construction of the building could be started therafter. Nevertheless, only a very minimal amount is left from the solicited money that even the idea of starting the construction of the building seemed impossible. It is by this reason that we, the humble servants of God in the Free Methodist Church, would like to ask your help in putting up a church building. We would very much appreciate if you can extend any form of help to our growing church. The kindness you extend would not only help in the building construction but it would also help save more souls.
