Reflections on the Apostle's Creed
As you read the creed, you will realize that we believe:
- God is powerful
- God is Creator
- Jesus Christ is God
- The virgin birth, death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and Second Coming of Jesus Christ are true
- The Holy Spirit is God
- The church is a worldwide fellowship of Christians as well as a local body ("catholic" means "universal")
- Healthy Christians ("saints") share with and assist each other in a church
- A person's sin can be forgiven
- There will be bodily resurrection when Christ comes again
- Beyond this life there is life that never ends
